ANSWER FOR SLIDE TEST - 1

First, try to identify the organ. Background is full of blue dot like structures (red arrow), These are the lymphocytes. You can also see a fibrous capsule ( light blue arrow towards the right lower corner) surrounding the organ. Thus the organ is fully composed of lymphocytes and is encapsulated. So the organ is lymph node.

Now let us see what is the pathology in this lymph node. We can also see sharply defined pale appearing areas (orange arrow) in this lymph node. These are the granulomas. They are composed of epithelioid cells which you cant see here as this is a low power view.

The few dark pink areas (dark blue arrow) seen in the centre of these pale areas are the areas of caseous necrosis.

The condition where granulomas and caseous necrosis are seen in lymph nodes is tuberculosis.

Thus this picture is a case of tuberculous lymphadenitis with granulomas and few foci of caseous necrosis.
